I didn't know how to get a good photograph of a pair of shorts, but I gave it a shot anyway. The Stryker shorts feature two pads on each side, one inside & one outside, that mainly cover the hip area. The pads do add some bulk, but the shorts are still reasonably comfortable with decent mobility. This is the only type of motorcycle gear I've seen that gives this much protection to the pelvis (below the ileum) and the upper part of the femur (the trochanter.) I always wanted some more protection in this area since I'm more prone to lowsiding than any other type of mishap. Hopefully these shorts will be worth it if I'm ever unfortunate enough to have to test them out!
