This cold weather gear functions as it is supposed to. The fit should be snug against your body to preserve your body heat, so go with the size chart. I am 6' tall, 215lbs, 45 in chest, 37 inch waist at the belly button. The L fit me perfectly in the shirt and pants. Before wearing the gear, make sure that you are totally dry. If you are the slightest bit wet from a shower or from sweating, the garments will not go on easily. I've worn garments down to 42 degrees with no additional heated gear, and I was very comfortable at highway speeds.
