The jacket is perfect for the summer. Even as I was taking a picture for this review, I could feel the air conditioning flowing through! I'm 6' 165, and I got a small (My dress shirt measurements are 15, 32/33, slim fit, if that helps any). It fits very well. I'm honestly between a small or medium, but glad I went with the small so I don't have any extra baggy-ness. I only wish the torso was a tad longer. But this problem is partially negated by the fact that it has snaps for belt loops (as well as a zipper for pants)which help keep the jacket from riding up. The padding is in the right place and it's adjustable enough to accommodate any slight sizing issues. Knee pads are great as well. They fit under my Carhartt pants without issue (you can't tell from my picture that I'm even wearing them) and they are short enough to not rub against my street boots. I feel they are a great (especially economical!) solution if you don't want to wear some hot and sweaty riding pants, but want some sort of protection. You might need to get used to the straps though. It might feel weird to have something strapped snugly against your leg at first, but I'm sure you'll forget about it like I did.
