I bought this Alpinestars jacket along with the associated RC back protector that installs inside the jacket. As with other Alpinestars gear that I've owned previously, the build quality of this jacket did not disappoint. This is a premium built jacket and as I write this Motorcyclegear.com has these jackets on final closeout for less than $90, you should buy one right now! I bought the jacket to cope with the hottest summer days and thanks to its mesh construction it doesn't disappoint on the venting either. Even though it is a mesh jacket I don't feel that protection is compromised at all due to the high quality elbow, shoulder, & aforementioned back protector. I highly recommend this jacket from a functional standpoint, plus I think its styling is great.
