Awesome boots! I think they'll provide plenty of protection, and they don't make me look like a Power Ranger... I sent back the size 9 and exchanged it for the 9.5. It gave me a bit more breathing room and allows me to wear thicker socks. My feet tend to get cold while riding. Great boots for my dollars!
