These provide a lot better protection for your knees than those foam pads in most riding pants. The best part is that these can be put on over or underneath regular pants quickly and easily. Initially I didn't like the fact that there isn't an additional strap around the knee part itself, but I soon realized that it makes these pads very breathable and comfortable.
