Disappointed I was wearing these Joe Rocket Ballistic pants when I was in a relatively low-speed accident (30-ish MPH). I fell largely on my palms (which were clad in some now-discontinued line of leather gloves) and my left knee. My hands were fine (the leather was merely scuffed) but these textile overpants wore all the way through to my skin underneath. Granted, my injury was really minor and would have been far worse if I wasn't wearing protective pants at all. But the fact that they wore completely through on such a low-speed fall makes me concerned about their ability to prevent serious injury in a highway accident. I think I'm going to use this opportunity to upgrade to leather gear. The stuff on closeout isn't really that much more expensive, and yeah, it looks a little too S.&M., but that's the price you pay.
