I only owned the ST-5 pants during a cooler part of the year, and with the lining in they were incredibly warm. With the lining out I wouldn't recommend them for summer weather, 85 degrees F or more. The picture is the aftermath after an encounter with a deer going 60mph on a 2006 Ninja 250. The zipper between my jacket and the pants had torn, but did its job in keeping my jacket from riding up and exposing skin. The pants were completely ruined, but the knee guards had worked as intended and it was better the pants being torn apart than my legs. Definitely recommended for cooler weather riding for longer commutes and traveling.
