The Icon Field Armor Vest is a substantial improvement to the back protection that most jackets provide. The vest attaches very easily through four velcro attachment points, and is highly adjustable for any body shape. The back plate is flexible and is very comfortable to wear. There is a foam pad on the inside for comfort, and a very hard, durable molded plastic on the outside. This protector seems pretty heavy-duty, and would seem to provide great sliding protection. The front also has a smaller protective area, but is not nearly as substantial as the back. The vest is comfortable but can get very warm in high temperatures since it sits quite snugly on you. I highly recommend it for those who wish to have extra back and spine protection when they ride.
