Great service again from NE! Same day shipping. Received 2 days later. This jacket was a replacement for a Teknic Supervent that had developed a bad seam. I sent it back under warranty and the claim was handled quickly. I decided to spend extra and get leather this time. I'm glad I upgraded to the Chicane! This is a fantastic jacket for the price. Very nice quality leather and very good cut for my body shape. Not too stiff either. I've just been wearing it around the house for a couple hours and its already starting to feel like a 2nd skin. I feel that this jacket runs very true to size, despite what the folks at NE told me. I was wearing a 48 in the Supervent and it fit nicely. They told me I needed a 50 in the Chicane leather to get equivalent sizing. By the time my warranty return was processed, they were sold out of the 50 in Blue. I was faced with the choice of spending more to get a 50 in silver or going to another brand or getting a 48 or 52 hoping it fit. After trying on some competitors jackets in the stores, I was convinced a 52 would be way too big. The Rocket Blaster size 50 even seemed a little big on me. I could gather up the chest and the arms were too long. So I went with my gut and ordered the 48 in the Chicane. Guess what, its a perfect fit! I am 5'11"/220lbs and my chest measures right at 48. However, don't expect to wear bulky layers underneath. Why would you though? Its perforated leather, designed for mild/hot weather. You typically would just wear some type of thin sweat wicking layer, and with that, it will fit perfect. This should be a great summer jacket for North Georgia mountain runs.
