Paul, About the Icon and Joe Rocket "mil spec" products. 1st off, thanks for carrying these items! Unfortunately, they get an "almost but not quite" when it comes to the ID holders. Maybe you can communicate this to the manufacturers. What's needed is a "velcro" attached holder (like w. the Icon mil-spec vest/backpack) where either both front and back of the card can be seen through clear plastic, or, a rigid card holder from which the card could be easily removed while wearing motorcycle gloves. I have the Icon vest and will be making my own holder using one of these rigid card holders and heavy-duty self adhesive "velcro". You pointed out the comments from the Joe Rocket rep regarding the relevant regulation numbers. Those are viewed as a "minimum standard", meaning the local commander or his designated authority can make the local version of the regulation more restrictive than the service reg. The Joe Rocket DIstributor telling that young Soldier/Sailor/Airman/Marine that it's ok because the reg they looked up said so isn't really helpful. I'd suggest maybe changing this: "Reflective striping, bright colors etc, these guidelines are subject to interpretation by each base commander but in most situations will comply." To this: "Reflective striping, bright colors etc, these guidelines are subject to interpretation by each base commander SO CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL AUTHORITIES FOR YOUR INSTALLATION'S SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS." Thanks for having one of, if not THE best sites for moto gear! And for having the killer deal on the BlackHawk Jacket, I love mine! Best, James G. McNutt CPT(P), Field Artillery Redstone Arsenal, AL
