These pants are perfect for a commuter. Easy to take off once you get to work - they're convenient enough to make ATGATT (All The Gear, All The Time) a reality. When I imagine the worst case scenario of sliding down the asphault into a Seguaro cactus sitting next to the highway, the heavy leather in these pants seems very comforting. Not too hot, even in the AZ summer. Actually, they keep the sun and the bike's sun-scorched seat off my legs, making them a bit cooler than jeans alone. In cold weather (notice the snow in the pic) my legs stay warm long after my hands and face have gotten chilled. These are also great in a medium heavy rain - no water gets through. Haven't tried them in a deluge yet, but it goes without saying that they're better than jeans alone. Get these right away and wear them every time you ride!
