These boots are heavy duty. Like all Joe Rocket gear they have a lot of features which at first seem like styling only but the more you wear the gear the more you realize every part of the design has a function I love it. These boots have a stiff sole and can feel a bit clumsy on sportbike shifters at first but I have quickly gotten used to them and love the ankle and shin protection they offer. I haven't tested the water proof aspect as yet but I'm sure the opportunity will come up...
