Sizing Information

We tried on a selection of Forma boots here in the office and found the length to be about right. My advice would be to use the chart below to choose a size based upon your US shoe size. The width of this Forma boots runs about average, maybe a C or D width. I’d compare it to the fit to Sidi which normally runs C/D. Being a laceup boot, you can easily adjust the overall snugness of the fit in the instep and ankle.

Forma offers advice on choosing a size from your foot measurement. Here’s how:

1) Measure the overall length of your foot. Forma recommends placing your heel against a wall and measuring from the wall to the end of your longest toe.

2) Add 3/4” to the length of your foot

3) Using Forma’s sizing chart below, choose the smallest size boot with an insole measurement that is at least the length of your foot plus 3/4”.

Use Forma’s size selection method as a “second opinion”. Maybe you’ll find it reassuring if it matches your size choice based on street shoe size or, maybe it could be a tie breaker if you are undecided between two sizes. FWIW, Forma’s advice didn’t work for me since I have relatively short toes. I wear a 45 (known from trying on) and this method put me in a 42.

Our Two Cents

The Creed boot is an all-leather riding boot that will look great under jeans. The boots have laces and side zip for easy entry. A waterproof liner is built in for rainy day use.

The thing I like about lace up motorcycle boots is the ability to adjust the overall fit. Sometimes you like thinner socks or maybe on cold days you have thicker socks, and also when you sit in the saddle for hours, your feet might swell and bit. With a lace-up boot, you can easily compensate for all these things to stay comfortable. The adjustability also gives you a greater chance of getting a fit when you buy mail order too! But the downside of most lace boots is, well, the laces. Nobody likes to unlace and lace boots every time the boots go on and come off, right? Well, the Creed boot has a side zipper to cure that problem! The combination of laces and the side zip is the ultimate convenience in my book.

The leather used in this boot is a soft but thick genuine cowhide. It feels a lot like a quality work boot to me. The oiled finish will be low maintenance and look sharp. The boots have a waterproof liner between the cowhide upper and the inside liner so you can wear the boots in wet weather too. I’m not sure you want to make a habit of that with the upper being cowhide though. We all know real cowhide doesn’t mix well with getting wet, right?

The basics of motorcycle protection are all here: moderately stiff sole shank area, stiffened heel and toe areas, circular reinforcements over each ankle bone, and an extra layer of leather over the toe where your shifter will hit. I’m personally a fan of Forma boots. The brand itself is not as heavily advertised as many others, but I find the overall quality at the top of the heap. They aren’t cheap, but they aren’t cheap boots either. :: 09-24-20

Forma says: The new Forma Creed boots are another cool design by Forma. Produced in oiled full grain leather, these boots have CE certified protection complete with anti-crush sole, gear-lever reinforcing, heel reinforcing, and ankle protection. The Creed boots are a modern urban design and a nice compromise between safety and fashion.
