Sidi boots are very consistent for fit from one model to the next and this one is no exception. This boot fits very much like other styles in the Sidi race boot line such as the Vertigo boot. Overall width is “Medium” or “D” width.

The Sidi Apex boot is definitely something a bit different. A boot like this is more or less the lower half of a Sidi Vertigo race boot. Like a race style, it is made with a slight forward lean so it is most comfortable in the riding position. And like race boots that provide foot and ankle support in case of a fall, it is stiffer than most other short riding styles. Like its race-boot big brother, it has a replaceable toe slider, very substantial protection on both sides of the ankles and a large impact protector around the heel area. The sole is thin (to win), but includes a steel reinforcement shank to hold up against use on the pegs. I personally think the boots are sharp, comfortable, and would provide about as good of protection as you could get without wearing a taller race style. For those that want ease of use and for street use under riding pants or jeans, these would work great. The price isn’t cheap as compared to other mid-height boots, but there is a LOT to this boot you won’t find in others. Take the “View Larger Images” link above to see some good close-up shots.
