The Klim Blak Jak boot is a good looking and well made boot. It offers the looks of a construction/hiking style with a smooth sole which will be stable and comfortable.
This is a good looking boot for sure, and I think it will break in be quite comfortable. One thing missing here is any significant protection for motorcycling. Klim makes a lot of gear for all kinds of motorsports including ATV which wouldn’t necessarily require the same protections you find in street bike boots, so maybe that is what they were aiming for here. Nearly any boot for street bikes will have built in ankle protectors and a reinforced toe box and heel surround at a minimum, but none of those are here.
But if your focus not for street riding or other sports where you’d want protective features, then you’ll really like the quality and styling here. I’d compare these boots with other well made outdoorsman boots. The sole is wide and relatively flat like you find with work/construction boots, so they’ll be plenty stable. The upper material is a light suede leather that looks great. :: Paul, 03-23-20
Klim says: Through timeless style and rugged construction, the Blak Jak is the classic leather boot you’ll wear all day, every day. It blends in almost anywhere. Combining subdued, integrated motorcycle functionality with the practicality of a modern boot, the Blak Jak is built to give you comfort in casual rides.
