Sizing Information
We found this shoe to be sized correctly for length, so choose the size you normally wear in a men’s shoe. The width is considered “D” or “normal”. The toe box is slightly narrow. If you are between sizes, I’d recommend choosing the larger.
Our Two Cents
The Highlander Adventure boots from Tourmaster are a tall pair of leather boots designed to go up to about the calf and to protect your feet and shins while adventure riding both on and off road. Overall construction is a combination of top grain cowhide (specifically what Tourmaster calls “Pull-up leather” which is designed to look good aged), a 3-layer Aqua-barrier® waterproof breathable membrane, an exclusive Tourmaster reactive foam comfort sole by Armanox®, billowed flex panels for added comfort and increased range of motion, a breathable mesh lining and padded front and rear microfiber to increase the level of comfort. This construction has been impact, abrasion and transverse rigidity tested and has achieved a Level 2 CE rating.
Diving in to protection, the Highlander boots feature malleolus inserts for added comfort and protection, injection molded custom shin plate reinforcements, uni-directional anti-twist molded nylon midsoles, Dual-density molded and contoured ankle protectors, TechnoGI thermoplastic molded heel cup and toe caps, and a heavy-duty anti-slip sole. For boot entry, the Highlander boots feature adjustable MX-Style buckles for micro adjustments to help with comfort and increased security, as well as a hook and loop top closure to help accommodate a large range of calf sizes. Additional features included a reinforced outside toe, a uni-directional anti-twist molded nylon midsole, as well as a shifter guard. Additionally the Highlander boots come with a 4-year manufacturer workmanship and materials warranty.
Overall at the price of $179.99 you get quite a bit of boot for the money as some of the included features rival boots that cost twice as much. Honestly without looking at features and just looking at how the boots look, they “look” well above their price point, then you look at the features and they for sure punch well above their price point. Honestly hard to go wrong at this price. Also Tourmaster makes a big deal about the leather being a “pulled-up leather” which is supposedly designed to look good as it ages, well from the jump I think it looks really good, its not quite black, but more of like a charcoal gray color that compliments the rest of the black on the boot quite nicely, again, a really good looking boot. If you are looking for a solid par of adventure boots and don’t want to break the bank this is a solid place to start. :: Damir 7/19/24
