Sizing Information
We tried on a selection of Forma boots here in the office and found the length to be about right. The width on the boots is a touch more wide than most other brands we carry. Alpinestars and TCX tend to be the most wide, but these might even be a touch wider. I’d say they are a D to E and might even work for somebody with a slightly wider foot (but don’t get carried away and think they are wide enough for a person needing a EEE or wider). So my advice would be to use the chart below to choose a size based upon your US shoe size.
Forma offers advice on choosing a size from your foot measurement. Here’s how:
1) Measure the overall length of your foot. Forma recommends placing your heel against a wall and measuring from the wall to the end of your longest toe.
2) Add 3/4” to the length of your foot
3) Using Forma’s sizing chart below, choose the smallest size boot with an insole measurement that is at least the length of your foot plus 3/4”.
Use Forma’s size selection method as a “second opinion”. Maybe you’ll find it reassuring if it matches your size choice based on street shoe size or, maybe it could be a tie breaker if you are undecided between two sizes. FWIW, Forma’s advice didn’t work for me since I have relatively short toes. I wear a 45 (known from trying on) and this method put me in a 42.

Our Two Cents
The Forma Terra Evo X Boot is a full height adventure/off-road boot with a higher level of support in the sole and ankle than many adventure styles. This boot is waterproof and includes significant armor.
This new Terra Evo X boot is made for those that do a lot of off-road adventure riding. One of Forma’s most popular adventure boots is the “Adventure” boot and its shorter brother, the “Adventure Low”. The uppers on those compare with this Terra EvoX, but where this boot’s construction exceeds those in the sole and foot. The sole is EXTREMELY stiff by comparison and is up to the tasks of standing on your pegs as long as your legs can hold out. The sole construction is very much like traditional off road boots. But like the more street-worthy Adventure boots, this one has design features that allow some flexibility in the ankle to facilitate walking and everyday touring. You’ll notice the large external plastic structure that wraps around the ankle area. It gives rigidity and support, but it pivots front to back to allow some freedom for the boot to flex for you while walking. The shin, heel, and toe areas are rock solid to protect against impacts on the trail.
An internal waterproof layer is installed in this boot to keep you dry. The gator behind the buckle closure extends about 2/3 of the way up the shaft, so you’d have to step in REALLY deep water to get it inside. The buckle arrangements are easy to use and sturdy, so as long as you get the length right, you’ll be able to adjust the fit from the instep to the calf.
So think of this boot as “almost” an off-road boot, but one that will allow some walkability when you aren’t on the trail. :: Paul, 03-10-21
Forma says: If you are adventuring further away from paved and well maintained dirt roads, your feet will need more protection than traditional adventure-touring boots. The new Terra Evo’s ‘Ideal welt’ sole has increased rigidity for a higher level of off-road protection, and also provides more durability for long distance stand-up riding. Heels and toes get external PU for tougher impact absorption and improved rider protection. The main boot structure is produced in oiled full-grain leather with a new FCS Ankle Support System to allow for maximum support without compromising touring comfort. The Forma Terra Evo boots are an excellent waterproof dual-sport option if you favor that occasional mountain trail.
