Sizing Information
I measured each and every size of jean offered in this style and concluded that they run true to the stated size. The waist on each one I measured was just a touch bigger than the stated size, but most jeans are “vanity sized” just a little bit and then you can expect just a slight bit of shrinkage from washing. My advice would be to buy the size you normally weear.

Our Two Cents
I like these new Covert jeans mainly because they are simple in design and looks and they are comfortable. The cut is “average” meaning not baggy and not skinny. The feel of the denim is not pre-washed, but not stiff either. I would bet the jeans will break in and become favorites. We turned a pair inside out and took a couple close-up photos for you so you could see the areas of reinforcement. The yellow fabric is the Kevlar that provides the abrasion protection. The pants have pockets for armor and Scorpion sells the SAS-TEC knee and hip armor pieces that fit in the pockets in the pants. SAS-TEC armor is VERY flexible and conforms well to the body and works great in a jean like this where you don’t want the profile of the armor to show under the pants. Both these items from scorpion are great value for money. The covert jeans have great coverage for the aramid they have. However, i do wish they had a more adjustable knee armour placement. (Read more...)
