In anticipation of the 2020 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, today Alpinestars is launching the Limited Edition ‘Braap 20’ Tech 5 Boot as a celebration of the thrill, joy, energy and passion that is the DNA of MX. Featuring eye-catching, psychedelic orange, pink, purple and fluo yellow colorways complemented with black, white and silver, this boot is as striking as the protective features it is packed with. The ‘Braap 20’ is guaranteed to have riders stand out when they hit the track or trails wearing the stunningly designed Tech 5 boot.

Coming in the wake of the hugely successful and iconic Tech 10 and Tech 7 the new Tech 5 is an advanced multi-material, multi-panel construction boot that further strengthens Alpinestars line-up of class-leading motocross and off-road boots. Incorporating an innovative microfiber chassis, which is extremely durable and lightweight, a medial biomechanical pivot system for excellent levels of protection.

CONSTRUCTION

• Upper are constructed from light microfiber with a leather toe box
• Instep and Achilles accordion flex zones for maximum comfort, control and support.
• Exclusive dual compound sole perfectly integrated into the multi-density structure of the base of the foot with support included. The sole provides exceptional durability, grip and feel.
• The medial TPU panel of the side of the boot is reinforced with a rubber insert and is designed to offer an excellent grip to the bike and protection against impacts.
• The top part of the boot is finished in microfiber in order to keep out excessive water and/or dirt.
• Soft foam reinforcement in the ankle and boot collar for greater comfort and better impact absorption.
• Inner lining entirely of fabric.
• Removable anatomical insole with EVA foam and fabric lining on top.

PROTECTION

• The calf protector is injected with high performance, impact resistant polymer and has a flexible panel developed by Alpinestars, which provides greater control and precision of movement, greater protection to the heel and Achilles tendon and helps avoid hyperflexion.
• The ankle’s TPU protection system, which has a biomechanical pivot between the median and lower sections of the boot, helps to prevent damage to the leg by providing progressive relief of the torsion forces.
• The top part of the boot is finished in microfiber in order to keep out excessive water and/or dirt.
• The closure system is made up of 4 polymer buckles, with memory and a quick, easy and precise release/locking system that provides better performance and safety for riding. All the buckles are easily replaced.
