Klim Adventure GTX Boot

These boots are sold in US sizes and after trying on a few samples in our showroom, we advise to choose the size you normally wear. The width is “normal” C or D width. The instep bukcle and BOA system give a good deal of adjustability in the instep and calf. Being an adventure boot, the entire front of the boot is quite rigid and won’t “break in” much so I’d wouldn’t advise this boot for those with wide feet or those with a high instep.

The Adventure GTX is a new boot for the 2021 season for Klim. This boot offers very good rigidity throughout with a great system of adjustability to give a good fit. Also, the boot is made waterproof with GoreTex which is very highly regarded.

I found these boots to feel VERY secure when on the foot. Front the instep area toward the toes is quite rigid and should hold up well to impacts. And the sole of the boot is a Michelin design that is very wide and stable. Much like a good off-road boot, the sole is very rigid too, so you’ll be able to stand on the pegs all you want and not bend the sole of this boot.

The boots go on and come off faster than most because of the BOA system to tighten the upper foot and ankle area of the boot. Down low over the instep is a single quick close buckle like you see on many adventure boot designs. But the rest of the upper tightens up quickly with a knob on the back of the boot. The knob is out of the way of any probable impacts and being located up higher on the back of the leg, it’s easy to reach. A wide Velcro tab closes the top to give you fit adjustability over your calf.

Adventure riding boots need to be very rigid like off-road boots, but also they need to be somewhat flexible so you can walk around when you are off the bike, and this design gives a pretty good compromise. I really like how the boots feel with the wide sturdy sole. The collar up around your calf is well trimmed with softer materials for comfort.

These boots are made waterproof with GoreTex waterproofing materials which is considered the best in most rider’s minds. Having a waterproofing material that is also breathable is important in a taller boot like this to help wick out body moisture.
