REV'IT! Tornado 4 H2O Jacket for Women ~ Sale

Multi-season functionality lies at the heart of the Tornado 4 H2O jacket. A tried and tested staple in our lineup, it offers the essentials tour riders are looking for when hitting the road: ventilation, waterproofing, and a high level of protection, wrapped into a smart and adventure-ready design.

Customized for your rides Did the temperatures heat up from the time you started your ride? No problem, drop the detachable thermal and waterproof liner and let the fully ventilated 3D air mesh chest, arms, and back panels allow the air flow directly toward your body. Is it cold or did it start to rain? That happens! Reattach the thermal liner and choose whether you want to wear your durable yet easily packable 3L hydratex waterproof liner on the outside or inside of your jacket.

Functionality in all its forms Reflection at the chest, shoulders, and back help you be seen when riding in lower light conditions, the sturdy hanger loop allows you to conveniently hang your jacket up at night to dry or to air out, and the overall materialization of the aforementioned 3D air mesh, Hypalon®, and ripstop equate to the Tornado 4 H2O jacket CE AA certification class.

Sizing Information

REVIT’s women’s styles are sold in European sizes. We used a size 42 on our Fit Check Mannequin Shirley who is a standard size Large, Dress size 12. The jacket measured out correctly at 38” max. The waist sizes listed in REVIT’s standard chart are smaller than the actual sizes for each jacket. For example on the size 42 we used for the photo shoot on Shirley, , I measure the max waist at about 36”. Shirley has a waist of about 32” and it looks just fine on her. The jacket flares out a bit at the belt line to about 40”.

Our Two Cents

The Tornado 4 H2O Jacket from REV’IT! Is a multi-season touring jacket that has ventilation, waterproofing and high levels of protection in mind. Really a jacket that can change with the weather as it has 3 layers in one. For the colder rides there is an included and detachable thermal liner that is a full jacket, not just a vest. For the wet days there is an included and detachable Hydratex 3L liner that is waterproof and looks good enough so that it can be worn as a standalone jacket. And lastly for the warmer rides the Tornado’s main construction includes 3D Air mesh, Hypalon®, polyester mesh and ripstop which all yield in allowing the jacket to flow air very well but also allow it to achieve a CE Level AA abrasion resistance rating.

Speaking of protection, the Tornado 4 H2O jacket comes with included SEEFLEX CE-level 2 Elbow and Shoulder Protectors, which is a nice upgrade over the typical level 1 protectors that are commonly found in air style jackets, and there are also pockets that are prepared for the SEESOFT CE-level 2 Insert Back Protector and the SEESOFT CE-level 1 Divided Insert Chest Protector. Additional protection can be fauna with laminated reflection on the back, chest, upper arms and the logo on the back.

Looking at functionality and comfort, the Tornado 4 H2O Jacket does include a two-way collar snap closure system, a short connection zipper, jeans loops, cuff zippers, an external hang hoop and a mesh liner to further aid in comfort. Additional features include an adjustment strap at the lower arm, waist, cuffs and upper arms. Another nice touch is the Flexisnap at the collar as well as the two inner pockets, two external slit pockets and the waterproof inner pocket that is within the waterproof liner.

Overall the new lineup of AA rated “Air” based jackets from REV’IT! Make sense and fall in to categories, the Control Air H2O being the sport, the Airwave being the adventure and this, the Tornado 4 being the touring version. With that said, even though the Tornado 4 has better protection than the previously mentioned other two jackets since it features level 2 armor vs level 1, I found the Control Air and Airwave 4 jackets to be more comfortable and to me better looking. The Tornado 4 deviated from the design language of the Tornado 3 which has resulted in mixed opinions from our staff on the new look. It is by no means a bad jacket, I just personally didn’t like it as much as the Control and Airwave. :: Damir 4/24/24
