Our Two Cents
The Sierra Peak glove by Tour Master is part of their new line aimed at Adventure riders called “Horizon Line”, but the overall protection package is comparable to street gloves so these could work well for any type of rider. This glove is available in both men’s and women’s sizes, so take the link below for the other gender.
Some key protection features I see here are the molded knuckle protector and the use of Superfabric in the palm. Superfabric is an excellent material to promote sliding should you fall and reach out and hit the pavement with the palms of your hands. Sliding on the moving pavement is better than grabbing which promotes a twist action. The gloves are held securely on your hands with a Velcro closure at the wrist. Also, there is a short zipper to release the gloves if you prefer to use that rather than the Velcro tab each time.
The inside of this glove is really comfortable since it is fully lined with soft nylon material. The back of the hand is covered in part-mesh and part perf leather and the area between the fingers is stretch fabric. The palms are solid leather, but with all the breathable materials facing the wind, I think you’ll like these gloves for mild to hot summer use.
The price on this glove looks very reasonable to me. I think many riders will like them. :: Paul, 06-02-21
