Sizing Information
This boot is available in men’s and women’s sizes. This page is for women’s sizes. Choose the size you’d normally pick for street shoes. The overall width of the footbed seems to be “Medium” and the boots feel especially roomy through the instep however the fit around the ankle at the top of the boot isn’t over-sized. Fortunately, this boot has an entry zipper on both sides so they open up wide when unzipped.
Our Two Cents
The Flex boots from Tour Master are new for spring 2021. This new Flex boot model is an updated version of past Flex boot versions. This is an all-purpose street riding boot with a mid-height and a waterproof liner. Both men’s and women’s sizes are available (take the link below for the men’s size selections).
I like the smooth wedge sole used in this boot. I think it will be comfortable for use on or off the bike and it feels very “sure footed” too. It will also be a bonus for those who might have difficulty reaching the ground when on the bike. With a tape measure, I think the heel adds about 1 1/4” (in a men’s size 11).
As I mentioned in the sizing advice, the instep area of the boot is roomy and with the dual entry zipper setup, it leads me to believe this design has those with a high instep foot in mind. However, I will caution, the size of the boot opening isn’t particularly roomy and there is no adjustability in that area with the zippers fully closed, so those with large lower legs may not find a fit.
These boots include concealed armor inserts on either side of the ankle bones and the sole feels reasonably stiff to make them suitable for motorcycling. The heel cup and toe box are reinforced too, so overall the boots feel reasonably secure.
The upper on this boot is made of a black microfiber material which makes a great motorcycle boot because of the material’s durability and its ability to resist damage from water. Most all major motorcycle footwear makers use microfiber these days. I’d recommend this boot for temps ranging from cold to warm, but since the boot is made of a solid material and also has a waterproof liner, I don’t think they’ll be too comfortable in hot summer temps. Having a waterproof liner and given the boot’s height, you should be all set for finding some rain on the road. :: Paul, 12-14-20
