Sizing Information
You can use the chart below to choose a boot and we think the chart is representative of the US shoe conversion. If you’ve determined your size in past Alpinestars sport boots, you’d be safe in choosing the same size as this brand runs pretty consistent from one model to the next (sometimes street and waterproof boots are not consistent however). I’d consider the width of the men’s sizes to be normal to slightly wide (D or E). I’ve always found this style boot easy to fit because the foot has a nice wide toe which is comfortable. Calf size is somewhat adjustable with the closure Velcro.

Our Two Cents
The Alpinestars RT-7 Drystar® Boots are a waterproof touring style boot with all day comfort on or off the bike.
The RT-7 Drystar® boots use Alpinestars’ Drystar® waterproof membrane which is guaranteed to keep you dry and still offers some breathability. On the lateral side of the boot there is a zipper with a large pull tab behind the hook and loop closure at the boot cuff. Opening the cuff and the zipper you find the waterproof gaiter comes near the top of the boot so as long as your pant cuffs are below the top inch or two of the boots water should stay out of the boots.
The lug sole on the RT-7 boots made from lightweight rubber and features a tread pattern that should allow you to walk around in mixed terrain and maintain your footing. The sole itself is relatively flexible but stiff behind the toe box. Additional protection comes in the form of an internal toe box, heel counter, and ankle protectors.
Textile areas on the sides, toe, and shin of the boot feature reflective threading for visibility at night. Additionally, there is a small reflective patch on the heel of the boot. A thin Polyurethane layer has been 3d Printed over the shift area for increased comfort and wear resistance. At the back of the boot is a large pull-on tab to help you easily get the boots on.
The Alpinestars RT-7 Drystar boots are a good option for the touring or commuting rider looking for a waterproof boot that offers great protection along with walkability. The Drystar liner will keep you dry but with minimal airflow across that liner I would say these boots are best suited for cold to warm weather riding. :: Mike, 03/16/2024
