REV'IT! Vertical GTX Jacket

We tried a size Medium and an XL on our Fit Check mannequins Huey and Dewey. Those are sizes they usually wear in an “American” cut jacket. This jacket from REV’IT! fit very well. I also verified some chest and belly measurements and found those to also be in line with what you’d normally find in American men’s clothing. So, we recommend you buy the size you normally wear in US men’s clothing.

You can also choose a size based on your chest and belly measurements. We’ve put together the chart below so you can choose a size that is big enough for both your chest and belly. Our size estimates differ from REVIT’s published size chart for this jacket, so for clarification, the chart includes both sets of chest size estimates. We recommend you use our estimates.

This particular style doesn’t taper a whole lot from chest to waist… only about 2”, so most people won’t have to worry about whether the belly area will work for them, but for those who do have an ample belly, we list the max size for each alpha size so you can make sure the size you choose will work. This jacket has very effective size adjusters for the mid-torso area, so even if your waist/belly is much smaller than these max figures, you’ll be able to get a good fit.

The Vertical GTX jacket by REV’IT! is an excellent touring length style for fall/winter/spring and is appropriate for wet weather in any of those seasons thanks to the 2L GORE-TEX outer shell.

The jacket has two large aquadefence mesh panels with FidLock® magnetic fasteners to hold the flaps open and allow air to flow to the Gore-Tex membrane. There are two large vents on the rear of the jacket as well that have waterproof zippers. These exhaust vents will pull the air through the jacket and across the liner to help it breathe.

This jacket has a lot of flexibility. The detachable thermal liner (snaps in, no zippers) will keep you warm into some pretty low temperatures and the venting will keep you cool into warmer weather. In addition to the temperature flexibility, you have adjustability at the cuff with hook and loop straps, waist with drawcords, forearm and waist with adjustable straps, and collar with a sliding adjustment for the closure or the option to pin the flap back and keep the collar open. There are also short and long connection zippers at the waist with the matching pieces so you can attach the jacket to REV’IT! pants with connection zippers out of the box or use the mating halves to pair any pant you’d like with them.

For storage you have two large cargo pockets on the belly that have flaps over covered zippers to keep them sealed, a large storage pouch on the rear, one pocket in the thermal liner, and two pockets in the jacket interior. There is also a medical card storage pocket on the left sleeve.

The Vertical GTX included Seeflex level 2 armor at the elbows and shoulders and is prepared for Seesoft protectors at the back and chest (sold separately, see related products). The logo on the back of the jacket is reflective in all 3 colorways, but the Blue colorway also has reflectives on the biceps and chest.
