Sizing Information
These jackets are sold in US based “alpha” sizes, so selecting a size is basically pretty easy. The size Medium and XL jackets fit Huey and Dewey, our Fit Check mannequins very nicely! Also, we checked several sizes with a tape. We found the sizing to be comparable to standard men’s clothing sizes. So our primary advice would be to choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing.
Alpinestars publishes a super-complicated size chart which can be used to pick a size based upon your chest and waist. We’ve condensed their chart down to make it easy to read (see below). You can use this size chart to check your own measurements against the size chart to make sure the size you select will work. Choose a size that is big enough for both your chest and belly.
The max waist of a jacket style like this is only a couple inches smaller than the max chest, so the style is very forgiving in case you have a bit of a belly, but don’t be concerned if your belly is smaller than the size listed below because this jacket has effective side waist adjustment straps.

The Alpinestars Sherpa Hoodie is a windproof hoodie for urban and sport riders.
The Alpinestars Sherpa Hoodie is at home on the bike or at the destination. The look is classic Alpinestars casual wear but the jacket has Alpinestars Nucleon Flex Plus CE level 1 shoulder and elbow protectors included and pockets for optional Nucleon back and chest protectors (see related products below). You could also wear this hoodie with the Tech-Air® systems. The side entry zipper goes to just below the armpit and allows this hoodie to easily slide on over your other clothes.
The Sherpa hoodie has two zippered hand warmer pockets at the belly that open to one another in one large pocket. Just above that is a kangaroo style pouch pocket for even more storage. The zippered main opening allows you to get the hoodie easily and the hood itself has cord adjusters that you pull to tighten and then pull to the side to lock in place and hold the tension. When you want to release them, just pop them back out of the slim side of the cord pass through.
The Alpinestars Sherpa Hoodie is a great option for urban and sport riders that want a casual look with moderate protection. The windproof shell makes this hoodie ideal for cool to mildly warm, dry weather. :: Mike, 12/14/2022
