Introducing the Andon hoodie. A casual sportswear aesthetic riding garment created to blend seamlessly to life on and off your motorcycle. No change of clothes necessary.
The name of the game Comfort is the name of the game with the Andon hoodie. We achieve this through its polyester stretch outer shell and the inner mesh lining. Movement isn’t restricted therefore riders feel free and to live in the moment. Peace of mind also comes through its included SEESMART elbow and shoulder protectors along with the CE AA classification.
Stay casual Since the Andon is a more casual offering in our collection, we took inspiration from the sportswear scene and added a large kangaroo pocked up front. But fear not, even though it’s one big pocket, we added zippers on both sides, so your personal items stay with you (and don’t fall out) when you’re riding to your destination. Furthermore, when you’re out riding and don’t want the hood to flap around, just use the button fixation to hold it down.

Sizing Information
We tried a size Medium and an XL on our Fit Check mannequins Huey and Dewey. Those are sizes they usually wear in an “American” cut jacket. This jacket from REV’IT! fits well enough and it looks sharp, but there is very minimal room left. Many brands from Europe exhibit a fit like this, such as Alpinestars. If you look at REV’IT!’s published size chart (below), you’ll see their estimate of chest size is at least a full size smaller than what you’d find in equivalent US designed clothing.
We measured each jacket and tried them on and we’ve concluded that the fit is just about one-half size smaller than what you would find in ordinary US men’s clothing. The amount the jackets are undersized is not as severe as REV’IT!’s size chart would have you believe. For most people, this means you’ll be able to buy the size you normally wear if you want a snug, European style fit. If you want a looser American fit, or if you are between sizes, choose one size larger.
Below is the REV’IT!-published chest size for each jacket’s alpha size along with our estimate of max chest and max waist/belly. This particular style is not a “sport” oriented style so there is not a lot of taper from chest to waist. I’d describe the fit as “casual”.

Our Two Cents
The Andon Hoodie from REV’IT! is a casual sportswear aesthetic riding hoodie that is designed to look good on and off the bike. At initial glance it looks alot like a normal hoodie would but it packs a solid punch when it comes to protection. Some of REV’IT!’s latest casually styled offerings show just how far the advancement in protection technology has come. A hoodie like the Andon that looks fairly normal yet still achieves a CE Level AA abrasion rating. In addition of the abrasion rating the Andon also features SEESMART CE-level 1 Elbow Protectors and SEESMART CE-level 1 Shoulder Protectors. It also has a pocket for the optional SEESOFT CE-level 2 Insert Back Protector. Additionally to aid in protection the Andon has integrated thumb loops to keep the sleeves from riding up as well as a polyester stretch outer shell material.
Visibility features include laminated reflection on the hood and a reflective logo on the chest. From a storage standpoint the hoodie features a kangaroo pocket at the front and to aid in fit it also features an adjustment drawcord at the bottom and hood. To help with connection to your favorite REV’IT! pants the Andon Hoodie also features jeans loops as well as a short connection zipper.
Looking at comfort, this hoodie has a minimal taper from chest to waist so it is a very comfortable fit, and it features a mesh lining to help you stay cool. Overall if you are looking for solid protection while keeping comfort and off the bike looks a priority the the Andon Hoodie is a good choice. :: Damir 3/16/24
