Sizing Information

We tried a size Medium and an XL on our Fit Check mannequins Huey and Dewey. Those are sizes they usually wear in an “American” cut jacket. This jacket from REV’IT! fit very well. I also verified some chest and belly measurements and found those to also be in line with what you’d normally find in American men’s clothing. So, we recommend you buy the size you normally wear in US men’s clothing.

You can also choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements. We’ve put together the chart below so you can choose a size that is big enough for both your chest and belly. Our size estimates differ from REVIT’s published size chart for this jacket, so for clarification, the chart includes both sets of chest size estimates. We recommend you use our estimates.

This particular style doesn’t taper a whole lot from chest to waist… only about 2”, so most people won’t have to worry about whether the belly area will work for them, but for those who do have an ample belly, we list the max size for each alpha size so you can make sure the size you choose will work.

Our Two Cents

The REVIT Territory Jacket is new for the 2021 season. This is a very lightweight jacket which is more than an off-road jersey, but is lighter in weight than a street mesh jacket.

The Territory jacket is new “territory” (pardon the pun) for us. This “jacket” is a hybrid of styles and I’m struggling a little bit to explain it. When I try it on, it feels a lot like higher end workout hoodies I own (minus the hoody). It’s made of a comfortable synthetic fabric which is dense, but flexible so it more or less “hangs” on the body. The arms are longer than a motorcycle jacket have a little stretch cuff at the end, and also the monkey paw loops like you see with hoodies sometimes. It feels great and even though it includes traditional armor inserts for the shoulders and elbows, it molds to the body because the SEESMART™ CE-level 1 armor is the very thin and flexible type. Some of the shell is mesh so the wind will blow right through and so this jacket is designed with summer in mind. The shoulder and elbow areas are covered in solid textile material to give the jacket a bit of abrasion resistance.

How does it differ from a street jacket? Well, for one thing, there is no back or chest protection, nor are there provisions for any. You’ll be going without, or you’ll have your own wearable armor units for the chest and back (more common in the off-road world). Like a jersey, there isn’t much “structure” to the jacket, so you should be able to wear armor units, backpacks, etc over this jacket easily. Minus the armor, it’s really more like jersey. Also, there is no provision for attachment to pants (zippers, belt loop straps, etc).

The Territory does have a selection of pockets much like a street jacket… two front handwarmer pockets, two chest pockets, and one fanny type pocket. It also has a stand-up collar like many street jackets. Night time reflectives are also on the back to give some visibility in the dark.

I can see this jacket being used on the street by those who just don’t want all the bulk and structure of traditional style, and also it will work for adventure and off-roaders that want more than a jersey. :: Paul, 02-23-21

REVIT says: The CE-certified Territory Jacket is an ideal match for riders venturing off-road in hotter weather. The single-layer dirt jacket is made with an abrasion-resistant PWR|mesh mid section to ensure a constant flow of air to the torso. Cordura 750D ripstop forms the jacket’s yoke and shoulders and runs down the arms – keeping any vulnerable impact areas shielded from abrasion. Seesmart impact armor is included at the shoulders and elbows. Stretch panels at back of the shoulders add mobility and help accommodate freestanding impact armor. Zippered front and rear pockets, thumb loops and reflective trim for road riding keep the journey ‘Lectric smooth.
