REV'IT! Travon Jacket
The Travon’s timeless styling honors the heritage and historic journey of an undisputed design classic. Bomber jackets were originally designed to keep WWI pilots warm in breezy, open-air cockpits, but by 1927 had evolved into the classic we know and love – rib-knitted collar, waistband, and cuffs adding extra wind proofing and insulation. This new detailing also shaped the flattering bomber silhouette that’s reflected in the new REV’IT! Travon.
To date the lightest jacket we’ve ever made, the Travon features technology originally engineered for touring and adventure riding. In a sense, it’s a crossover – not that you’d know from its authentic bomber outline. We didn’t want technical innovation to detract from the esthetics: front-zipped and armpit ventilation outlets, SEESMART CE-rated armor at the shoulders and elbows, and an insert for a SEESOFT Type RV back protector take nothing away from this jacket’s iconic styling.
Remixing a classic began by creating a head-turning design that guarantees you look the part – whether you’re out riding or just out and about. But it’s on a ride where you’ll fully get to appreciate just how well it performs: the single-layer stretch lining moves with you, tabs at the collar and waist personalize the fit, plus, the jacket attaches easily to your pants via a double jeans loop.

Sizing Information
The Travon jackets are offered in European sizes. The normal formula to convert a European size to a US size is to subtract 10 from the European size to get the approx US chest size, and that works pretty well for this style.
Use the chart I put together below to choose a size that will be big enough for both your chest and belly. The jackets are cut more casually and so the taper from chest to waist isn’t nearly as aggressive as a sport/race jacket, so the belly size won’t be an issue for most, but I put my estimate of max belly in the chart so you can make sure the size you choose based on your chest measurement will be big enough for your belly as well.
Jacket Size | Max Chest | Max Belly/Waist |

Our Two Cents
The Travon jacket from REV’IT! is a timelessly styled leather jacket that mirrors the look of a Bomber jacket initially made popular by WWI fighter pilots. REV’IT! says “To date the lightest jacket we’ve ever made, the Travon features technology originally engineered for touring and adventure riding. In a sense, it’s a crossover – not that you’d know from its authentic bomber outline.” I have to agree with REV’IT! here, after trying on the Travon jacket I could easily say that it is the lightest feeling and most comfortable leather motorcycle jacket that I have ever worn. Primary construction of the Travon is sheepskin leather, with a reflective label at the back to aid in night time visibility. Interior construction features 3D mesh, polycotton twill and polyester stretch to ensure comfort, and speaking of comfort the overall fit is a regular fit with minimal taper while featuring a knitted bottom around the waist and knitted cuffs that stretch to ensure a proper fit. To further aid in comfort, there is a knitted collar on the outer jacket, air inlets on the armpit, a ventilation panel behind the center front zipper, as well as an adjustment tab on the collar.
From a protection standpoint the Travon jacket comes prepared for a SEESOFT CE-level 2 Insert Back Protector, has safety seams and comes with SEESMART CE-level 1 Shoulder and Elbow protectors. Overall it earns a CE Level AA abrasion resistance rating. Additional notable features include an inner pocket, two slit pockets on the front, jeans loops as well as a short connection zipper.
Overall the Travon jacket as I mentioned earlier is the most comfortable leather motorcycle jacket that I have ever worn, I think REV’IT! did a fantastic job of ensuring that it is light weight, comfortable, stretchy and a more relaxed regular fit, while still providing really solid protection with the AA abrasion rating as well as shoulder and elbow armor and the ability to add a back protector. Personally if I was in the market for a leather jacket, something to fit a V-Twin, cruiser or cafe racer, the Tavon from REV’IT! would be my choice. Also for me, a person who lives in a warmer climate, the inclusion of the air vent zipper is a huge plus as leather jackets can get quite warm. Again if you are in the market for this style of a jacket I highly recommend you come in and try one on, I am confident that you will be impressed by how it feels, much like I was. :: Damir 6/22/24
