Sizing Information
Visit our Sidi Sizing Information page for complete size conversion info (ladies can use the chart at the bottom of the page). We feel the chart works well to choose a size based upon a US shoe size.
Sidi boots are extremely consistent from one model to the next and this one is no exception. I estimate the width of the boot to be D, or Medium. Some Sidi race and street styles seem to fit just a bit more narrow and lug sole boots seem to fit just a bit wider… but we are talking subtle differences here.

Our Two Cents
This new Deep Rain boot is built for adventure/sport touring riders who sometimes find themselves off pavement and in inclement weather. Or that perhaps just like a taller, more robust boot than the normal.
You might recall that Sidi made the “On Road” boots for years (10 or more I think) which was a similar design as this (except it had velcro closures instead of buckles, but the materials, height and soles were very similar). And more recently Sidi introduced the Adventure Rain boots, which are more “off road” in design… more armor, hard plastic protectors, etc.
So the Deep Rain boot, obviously is a waterproof design. The gaiter across the closure goes nearly all the way to the top, so these boots will keep water out… err even in deep rain :). As mentioned the boots have Sidi’s heavy duty deep lug sole for a long life and they have a stiff shank which is important for off road activity when you are bearing weight on the pegs often.
I feel SIGNIFICANT stiffness in the toe area and the heel area… much more so than most street boots. There is also stiffener material built into the shin area. And like nearly all other street boots, there is a plastic shift pad over the toe material to give good wear when shifting.
As you can see the boots have textile material incorporated into the ankle area both front and back. This will give some flexibility and also cut the weight of the whole package just a bit. One off-road type feature is the suede-like material on the inside of the calf, to help with grip against the bike’s surfaces. And finally, you’ll note the closure over the instep is very much like off road boots with the adjustable buckle arrangement. The top closure is with Velcro, so there is a good bit of adjustability.
These really look like a great choice for riders who do a bit of street and a bit of off road. Sidi’s quality is there of course, so I can recommend these boots based on previous experience alone. :: Paul, 01-18-16
