Oxford Explorer Waterproof Boots

We tried on a selection of these boots in our offices and found them to fit a bit on the snug side. We estimate they run small about 1/2 size so you’ll want to choose a boot that is either 1/2 size or one full size greater than you normally choose.

As for width, we think the boots have a “normal” or D width.

The instep area of this boot is extremely snug so pulling the boots on and taking the boots off past the instep is difficult. Those that have a tough time putting on/taking off pull-on boots probably won’t like this one.

Sorry folks, I think these Explorer Waterproof Boots are a bust. One issue is the fit… they run a bit small and are hard to put on and take off due to a snug instep. And then there is an issue with the side buckles. They are kinda cheap plastic and they don’t hold whatever position you put them in under tension, so they are kind of useless.

If you just wanted a boss looking boot for a cheap price, then these are OK, and the basic armor pieces feel pretty good. But the non-functioning buckles make them a no-go as a serious motorcycle boot. :: Paul, 08-02-19
