Icon Mil-Spec 2 Vest

These vests are made of a very light weight, somewhat stretchy material. Three sizes are available. I found the vests to fit about as expected if you wear them over a shirt, so they are NOT over-sized to be worn over a fully armored jacket.

For those that intend to wear this vest over a jacket, here is my advice: If your size is on the lower end of one of the size selection, you’ll be OK getting it over a jacket, but if your size is on the upper end of a a size selection, choose the next size up to go over a jacket. Example: if you wear size large, the Large/XL will probably work over your jacket. But if you wear XL and want to wear it over a jacket, then choose the XXL/XXXL.

This new Icon Mil-Spec 2 Vest is a pretty neat product. Its a much simpler design that previous Icon vests and most other brand’s versions. The material reminds me of sports apparel… sort of a light synthetic waffle weave material for the most part. And due to the use of minimalist materials, this vest will fold up into a very tight package.. about the size of a softball which is convenient for quick storage in the bike’s luggage or even in a jacket pocket.

The main purpose of this vest is to make you more visible, and on that score its a winner! Super bright colored fabrics along with plenty of bright, night time reflectives will make you stand out day or night. It think this is a nice product and serves the purpose for not a lot of money. :: Paul, 09-22-17
