Sizing Information

In trying these shoes on in my normal street shoe/boot size, which is 11, I find them to be noticeably snug, much like a Nike brand of sneaker. Most people have to buy one size larger in a sneaker than in a street shoe or boot and these are no different. And even after you add one size to your normal size, if you are between sizes, I’d advise picking the larger.

Width is noticeably narrow on this shoe as well. I can feel it when trying them on and can even see it when looking at the profile of the sole. I’d estimate the width to be B or C.

Our Two Cents

I’m having a bit of déjà vu in looking at this Anaheim shoe. Just two days ago, I reviewed the San Diego shoe by Alpinestars and this one is really the same shoe EXCEPT this one is perforated faux leather and the San Diego has a canvas upper. My comments on the San Diego are perfectly applicable to this shoe as well, so here is a cut/paste: This is a great sneaker or a MILDLY protective riding shoe. The styling is sharp and I’m sure they are comfortable for street use. The collar of the high top is heavily padded and shouldn’t require breaking in… the ONLY feature on this shoe that resembles protection from crashing on a bike is some built in protection on either side of the ankle bone, and you can clearly see where it is situated in the pictures.

The factory bullets hype this shoe quite a bit and undeservedly so… there is no reinforcement in the heel or the toe and I can’t feel any stiffness in the sole (most motorcycle shoes/boots should have a stiff shank in the sole).

If you like the style of these shoes and want a stylish/sporty sneaker, then we’ve got ‘em and we’ll be glad to sell them to you, but please don’t buy them with the idea they will be appropriate protection for riding a motorcycle. We sell lots of shoes like this to folks who want them for casual use and so therefore we sell them. I just want to make sure people are buying them for the right reasons. :: Paul, 09-11-14
