Sizing Information
We find that gloves from REV’IT! are generally very consistent in fit from one model to the next, and we find they run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands. The fit is very similar to Alpinestars which also fit more snugly than other brands of gloves. The tendency to run small is not so noticeable that we’d advise you to buy one size larger, but if you are sometimes in between sizes, your best shot would be to choose larger. Hopefully, you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
The Mosca 2 gloves from REV’IT! are a light weight short cuff glove for any type of riding. They are very comfortable and sporty looking.
In “Our Two Cents” for the original Mosca gloves we stated that “REV’IT! characterizes the Mosca as their “entry level” street summer glove. I’d agree with that overall assessment, but I see some basic protection here you might not find elsewhere at that price point. The gloves have a large molded knuckle protector and a basic pad built into the palm. And the gloves secure to the wrist with a Hook and Loop strap.” Much of that remains true for this second generation version.
There are some notable differences between the second generation and the first, lets start with the knuckle protection. I would say that the version 2 is more comfortable as it now features both memory foam underneath the knuckle protector and a SEESOFT 3d knuckle. These two changes make the knuckle more moldable and better contouring to your knuckles. Another change is that the wrist closure has moved from the outside of the hand to the inside and the outside of the glove now features a REV’IT! logo on the wrist. Speaking of logos the version two does loose the large REV’IT! logo across the knuckles but does gain a second one on the pinky finger.
Overall this glove flows air very well as it has full ventilation at the back of the hand and partial ventilation at the palm so it is definitely a good choice for a hot summer time glove.
Outside of the regular version, REV’IT! also offers a H2O or waterproof version that features a laminated to the inner lining hydratex waterproof liner. Along with having waterproof properties the liner also has windproof properties to make you more comfortable in the colder months. While it does well in reducing cold weather impact it does naturally flow less air than the normal version so it won’t do as well in the hot summer weather. These gloves are perfect if you love your regular Mosca 2 gloves but want to get more cold/wet weather riding out of them.
Both the regular and the H2O versions have touch screen compatible finder tips on both the index finger and thumb and both work very well with both iPhone and Android devices. :: Damir, 2-24-24
