Sizing Information
We’ve found that some REV’IT! sport gloves run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands… much like Alpinestars. This glove is not so snug that I’d recommend you buy one size larger than normal, but certainly if you are between sizes, then choosing the larger of the two should work. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help
Our Two Cents
The REVIT Spectrum glove is new for 2021. This is a sharp glove with good protective capability in a very comfortable package. The palm is leather with extra reinforcements and the back of the hand is a neoprene-like fabric. Both men’s and women’s versions are available and be sure and check out the color/graphic choices; some are very unique and the ladies get their own styles too (take the link below for the other gender).
The palm of this glove is leather rather than lighter duty materials such as synthetic suede often found in short cuff street gloves. Also, there is a backing of abrasion resistant material behind the leather to beef it up more. Also, you get a sturdy layer of memory foam material in the heel of the hand and on the side of the thumb. The back of the hand looks like just synthetic material, but under the surface is a knuckle armor unit and additional units over the back of the hand. Those are made of a dense memory foam material.
I think this glove will be useful in cool to warm weather. If you ride in really hot weather, I think you’d find a mesh style to work better as the material on the back of the hand isn’t quite completely flow through, but on the other hand (pardon the pun), this glove will take you further into fall’s cooler temps than a mesh glove. The gloves are completely flexible and can be packed away easily in a small compartment or a jacket pocket.
I think the protection package in this glove is very good and I really like the feel and the styling. Very attractive. :: Paul, 04-12-21
REVIT says: The REV’IT! Spectrum Gloves are a lightweight glove for riders seeking versatility in their stop-and-go urban blasts. A mix of leather at the palm and REV’IT! PWR|shell sublimated knit at the back of hand keep you cool in warm conditions. This stretch knit component delivers airflow and abrasion resistance to compliment the semi-rigid knuckle protectors and impact absorbing Temperfoam padding at the knuckle, fingers and palm to mitigate impact. A layer of PWR|shield underneath the leather palm provides an extra layer of abrasion protection. The gloves achieve a CE certification, and smart touch fingertips keep you connected to the non-moto world.
