Sizing Information
We find REVIT gloves run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands. The fit is very similar to Alpinestars which also fit more snugly than other brands of gloves. The tendency to run small is not so noticeable that we’d advise you to buy one size larger, but if you are sometimes in between sizes, your best shot would be to choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
The REVIT Caliber glove is a short cuff, lighter weight all purpose glove. I has panels for venting and a substantial armor unit over the back of the hand.
I’m not sure what to call this glove… it sort of looks like an off-road glove, but it’s more substantial than that. With the goat leather palm and the substantial impact protection over the knuckles and back of the hand, it most certainly is beefy enough for street riding. I guess you could say it works for both.
In 2017, we first saw a rubberized protector like this with the Sand 3 glove and it was really popular. This glove is just a little bit lighter weight overall than the Sand 3, and it is more flexible. You’ll be able to wear this glove on the bike and then easily stow it in a jacket pocket when not in use. The rubberized material is molded such that it is completely flexible, and look how much of the back of the hand it covers… all the way from the middle finger joint down to halfway covering the back of the hand. And on the palm side of the hand, there is a dense foam pad in the heel area.
Being a lighter weight glove and having the panels of mesh material around the armor on the back of the hand means this glove will be comfortable well into the warm temp range. so consider it for spring and summer for sure and many warm days in the summer (but maybe not the best for very high temps).
The cuff is a neoprene material and it extends far enough down to cover your wrist so if your jacket sleeve is a reasonable length, you’ll avoid a sunburn. The cuff closes with a simple Velcro strap. Conductive leather tips are added to the index finger and the tip of the thumb so you can operate your electronics with the gloves on. Sturdy straps are provided so you can easily pull the gloves on.
I really like this new style! It’s very comfortable and gives me a lot of confidence to wear them. : 02-12-21
REVIT says: Designed with utility and comfort in mind. PWR | shield is found at the palm and reinforces its sturdiness alone with TPR protection at the fingers and knuckles. The comfortable neoprene cuff will keep dust and water out of the gloves.
