Merlin Jura Air D3O® Gloves:- The Merlin Jura Air is a lightweight dual sport glove ready to take on the warmest of weather. These gloves feature large 4 way air mesh panels to the back of the hand with durable punched leather on the palm side. The Jura feels just like a lightweight off road glove but with that extra protection required for longer touring and adventure rides. There is protection throughout the fingers, knuckles and scaphoid where D3O®’s leading impact protecting foam sheet have been utilized. Digital touch points allow use of phones and sat-nav devices.
- To care for your Jura gloves, please only use neutral soap and a sponge our lint-free cloth to wipe over the surface. Do not leave the gloves to soak in a bucket as you would with a textile glove.

These gloves are consistent with the major brands we’ve carried—Tour Master, Joe Rocket, Olympia, etc, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
The Merlin JURA AIR D3O® GLOVE is a warm weather, short cuff glove that can cross between sport, touring and even on road adventure styles. Primary construction is a mixture of leather pipe trim, neoprene at the cuff, Microfiber grip panels at the palm and cuff strap, premium perforated goat leather palm, and 4 way air mesh on the back of the fingers, wrist and thumb. There is also a hook and loop closure at the wrist to aid in easy entry and fit adjustment.
From a protection standpoint, the Jura Air gloves feature a solid knuckle mold overlay that has D3O® Sheet Protection underneath it, as well as D3O® Foam Scaphoid Protection. Additional protection comes with the sonic finger impact protection on the finger knuckles. The Jura Air gloves are CE Level 1 KP certified.
Additional features include stretch accordion panels on all the fingers, pre-curved fingers, a webbed cuff puller for easier fitting, as well as Conductive Digital Touch Index Finger And Thumb Tip that performed well in testing with both Android and iPhone devices.
Overall this is a solid warm weather glove that competes well with other gloves in its price range, my main complaint, and this is just me being very safety minded is that I wish, for the price point, that there were some included hard sliders at the palm, and some padding at the thumb. If your primary focus is looks, air flow, and comfort while being willing to give up a little bit of safety (these gloves are still safe and offer safety features) then these gloves are worth a look, but if your primary concern is safety there are options in a similar price range that will offer more, like the previously mentioned palm sliders. :: Damir 6/5/24
