Sizing Information
We find Spidi gloves to fit similar to other European brands like Dainese, Alpinestars and REVIT, so if you know what size you wear in these brands, we advise you to choose the same size as you’ve worn before.
Just as an FYI, European brand gloves typically fit a bit more snug than US based brands such as Tour Master, FirstGear, Icon, etc. Even though this glove runs a bit more snug, it isn’t so much that we’d advise going up a size, but if you are at all between sizes, choose the larger.
If you have no idea what size you wear, please see the following Spidi glove size chart and hand measurement instructions to help you choose a size.
Our Two Cents
Spidi’s TX Pro glove is a mostly-leather glove with a few fabric vent panels so this design will work for the majority of the months of the year. It’s a longer glove which will give some wrist coverage.
This glove is a lot like it’s cousin, the TX-1 and is similarly priced. This glove has a bit less vent material on the back of the hand and the palm is all leather (rather than man-made suede), so this one isn’t just a summer glove but rather a design that would work for more months of the year.
The knuckle has a very firm protector over it. It is a hard plastic with heavy duty man-made SuperFabric covering that sort of looks reptilian. (have a look at the closeups). The underside is padded to make it comfortable over your knuckles. The heel area of the hand is reinforced with a flexible rubber pad which will absorb some impact in case you fall. The outside of the wrist bone is padded and covered with the same material as the knuckles.
I’m looking at the Black/White color for the review and I like that color combo best because it has sort of an “adventure” look to it. I notice the left index has a visor wiper built in which is handy, although it is only about an inch wide, so prepare to work those index finger muscles some to cover the surface of the average shield.
We put this glove under the “gauntlet” department because it has a gauntlet, although it isn’t “full size” like a race glove. I think street and adventure riders could like this mix-up for something that gives more coverage than a short cuff glove but isn’t as bulky as a longer gauntlet glove. I tried on our sample and thought it was immediately comfortable and I like it very much. :: Paul, 06-14-19
Spidi gloves: The SPIDI TX-PRO is a glove for technical riders who need both top notch protection and extreme versatility. The gloves have passed the demanding testing required to carry the EN13594:2015 KP CE safety certification, thanks in part to the abrasion resistant goat leather chassis (0.6mm to 0.8mm), the external Warrior Shields on the outside of the hand, and the armored knuckles. For additional safety when riding at night there are reflective zones built into the TX-PRO, as well as helmet wiper to help keep your vision clear when you get caught in the rain. There are double-layer leather sections over the palms to ensure excellent abrasion resistance, and the gloves have punched mesh sections for breathability.
