League 2 leather gloves take all the learnings from MotoGP to give you track-ready performance as well as road-ready protection and comfort with styling that’ll give you the confidence-inspiring look of a pole-position contender.
Feel-good design Robust construction you can rely on at speed, the League 2 gauntlet design is fully adjustable at the wrist with double hook-and-loop straps. The supplest leathers available – cowhide, sheepskin, and goat drum-dyed – come together for strength. In fact, nine leathers and textiles are stitched together to give you handling poise – with grip, dexterity, and feel for assured lever control.
Protect and connect Hard-shell armor protects your cuffs, fingers, and knuckles, while Temperfoam® and pre-curved contours ensure the gloves fit like they should – snug with plenty of stretch. Sizing Information
We find REVIT gloves run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands. The fit is very similar to Alpinestars which also fit more snugly than other brands of gloves. The tendency to run small is not so noticeable that we’d advise you to buy one size larger, but if you are sometimes in between sizes, your best shot would be to choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
The League 2 gloves from REV’IT! are a leather, track-ready glove coming in with a CE Level 1 KP certification. Available in two different colors and coming in at a price point that is a decent amount under the more race-spec gloves such as the Apex, Control or Jerez, but still above the typical street lineup. Overall the League 2 feature a full over the cuff Gauntlet design and are what I would consider to be more of a budget friendly track glove when compared to its more expensive siblings that were mentioned previously. With that said, much like the Argon 2 jacket vs the Control jacket comparison went, just because the overall build wasn’t done with all of the bells and whistles and top tier materials doesn’t mean that it isn’t a great product. Case in point, the League 2 does take a step down from the Jerez, Apex and Control, but they are still really solid gloves in their own right.
From a comfort stand point you get an adjustment strap at the wrist and an adjustment tab at the cuff, there is stretch at the palm, and stretch lips at the fingers, thumb and upper hand. You also get a Tri-Fleece liner, pre-curved fingers, and outside PWR yarn stitching that is created to eliminate potential pressure points at the seams while still providing ultimate sensitivity. For the closure the League 2 provide a wrist strap features a hook and loop closure, elastic at the wrist as well as a double cuff closure design. Lastly you do get a grip patch at the palm and thumb as well as conductive fingertips at both the index fingers and thumbs. Overall touchscreen compatibility was solid with both Android and iPhone devices. The league 2 gloves also have perforation on both the inside and outside of the fingers as well as additional perforation on top of the wrist.
Looking at protection, the overall build of thee gloves is drum-dyed, stay soft, goatskin leather with a WR finish. Joining the goatskin we have synthetic PU leather, PWR Shell 500D stretch, polyurethane coated fabrics, cowhide, 3D air mesh as well as Temperfoam®. Temperfoam® can be found at the finger knuckles, at the palm sliders, thumb knuckle, pinky finger as well as underneath the knuckle protectors. Speaking of knuckle protectors you do get TPU hard shell knuckle protectors, finger knuckles, little finder protectors, palm sliders as well as cuff protectors, really providing a great level of protection overall.
Overall the League 2 gloves from REV’IT! Are a great entry point in to a track based glove, they won’t break the bank like some of their bigger siblings, but they still provide exceptional protection and excellent value for the money. I would say that they are definitely worthy of the roughly $40 price point jump (as of this writing) over the Metis 2 gloves and would be my pick hands down between the two (the extra protection and wrist adjustment alone is worth it). Plus, for a track/sport based glove I found them to be quite comfortable. :: Damir 5/8/24
