Sizing Information
This NORU glove runs a bit snug as compared to other American brands we carry. I’d say this one runs only slightly small, so I’d advise you to choose the size you normally wear in gloves. If you are between sizes, then choose larger. Finger sizing is a bit slimmer than average so those with slender hands will probably like them. Those with shorter/thicker fingers may not.
Hopefully, you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based on the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
The Hakken gloves from Noru are the brand’s lightest adventure riding glove and they feature a short cuff design with a primarily ventilation focused design. Overall construction is a combination of 4-way stretch material and mesh on top of the hand for maximum breathability and comfort, with synthetic leather with an overlay in the palm for abrasion resistance. Additional comfort features include stretch fourchettes as well as a secure fit from the TPR hook and loop closure.
Additional features include a TPR knuckle and finger protectors on the three main fingers for impact protection as well as touch screen compatible thumb and index finger (overall the gloves functioned ok with both Android and iPhone devices, ok meaning well enough to work, but not as good as other gloves). The Hakken Adventure Gloves by Noru are not CE rated though I am not sure if Noru simply just didn’t have them tested.
From a fit standpoint I normally wear a size large glove in most European brands so I was surprised to comfortably fit a size XL glove, in the fingers and palm, but interestingly enough the wrists felt large (like a whole size larger) making the gloves overall just feel sloppy on my hands. If you have larger wrists or like to tuck in your jacket then this glove might fit you better than it fits me.
In multiple reviews I have pointed out that a specific piece of gear by Noru was providing a ton of value for the money, or was punching well above its class, not exactly the case here, the Hakken are in line with their price point. Overall a minimalistic glove by design. :: Damir 12/6/24
