Our Two Cents
The Super-Tour Glove by Tour Master is a full gauntlet touring glove made of leather with some nice styling. Both men’s and women’s sizes are available, so take the link at the bottom of this page to view the other gender.
I’m really surprised the pricing on this glove is so reasonable. The leather feels really nice, and the overall feel is impressive. The fingers are nicely pre-curved and the hand and palm fit well. The gauntlet is fully adjustable with a side expansion zipper and also a Velcro tab, so they ought to work with just about any jacket configuration.
The name of the product comes from the use of SuperFabric in the heel area of the hand. Superfabric is a premium material that is HIGHLY abrasion resistant. The surface feels like a bunch of tiny plastic nubs bonded to a fabric backing. Those nubs will slide on surfaces easily which makes them ideal for use in the palm area of a motorcycle glove. If you go down, your inclination will be to put your hands out, and if the heel of your hands hit the pavement, the Superfabric will promote sliding rather than grabbing which is more dangerous.
This is an all-leather style with a built in waterproof barrier. They are lined, but uninsulated, so consider these for colder to mild weather (but not for very cold or very warm weather). The back of the hand has integrated padding over the knuckles. And I’m glad to see a Velcro strap at the wrist to secure the gloves on your hand in case of a fall.
Overall, a very nice glove and an excellent value for a glove with a premium feature. :: Paul, 04-07-21
