Sizing Information

These gloves are consistent with the major US brands we’ve carried—Joe Rocket, Scorpion, FirstGear, etc, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

The Polar-Tex Glove by Tour Master has been around for many years. This is a well insulated glove with a waterproof liner and motorcycle protective features. Both men’s and women’s sizes are available, so please take the link below for the other gender.

For cold and or wet weather, I think you’ll like the Polar-Tex. “Polar” might be an overstatement, but they are pretty well insulated. The back of the hand is textile and the palm is leather which will give good wear. The knuckles are well protected with a large molded armor unit. Another significant safety upgrade is the use of SuperFabric in the heel area of the hand. Superfabric is a premium material that is HIGHLY abrasion resistant. The surface feels like a bunch of tiny plastic nubs bonded to a fabric backing. Those nubs will slide on surfaces easily which makes it idea for use in the palm area of a motorcycle glove. If you go down, your inclination will be to put your hands out, and if the heel of your hands hit the pavement, the Superfabric will promote sliding rather than grabbing which is more dangerous.

One issue I have with this glove is the wrist strap. When I try and tighten down the wrist strap enough to secure them on my hand, I find the strap is too long. Those with thick wrists may not have a problems with this or perhaps not all sizes are affected this way. I can secure it to some degree, but not snugly like it should be.

Other notable features: the left thumb has a built in squeegee for wiping your visor on the fly, and the back of the hand has generous night time reflectives. :: Paul, 04-08-21
