Sizing Information
Some REV’IT! gloves feel a bit snug as compared to other American brands we carry. I’d say this one runs only slightly small, so I’d advise you to choose the size you normally wear in gloves. If you are between sizes, then choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. Our Two Cents
The Stratos 3 GTX gloves from REV’IT! are a waterproof, winter touring glove that feature a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX membrane as well as 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation. The 3M™ Thinsulate™ featured includes both the G 300g and the G 80g, both of which feature large air pockets to trap heat, allowing the glows to remain warm for an extended period, this design also aids in the ability to dry quickly. These features make the Stratos 3 GTX glove quite comfortable in cold, winter situations.
From a protection standpoint the Stratos 3 GTX offer quite a bit, their primary outer shell materials are goatskin leather and PWR Shell 500D Stretch. The gloves also feature a hard shell knuckle, PWR Shield at the palm, and Temperfoam® under the knuckle protector, at the thumb knuckle and as a slider at the palm. Additionally the gloves feature great visibility with laminated reflection all along the fingers, in the REV’IT! logo and on the back of the hand.
Looking at comfort, the Stratos 3 GTX gloves have an adjustment tab at the cuff and a strap at the wrist, both feature hook and loop closures. There are also stretch materials at the back of the hand, cuff, and fingers making the Stratos a fairly comfortable and bendable glove considering that it is a winter glove. For lining these gloves feature high loft fur lining which mimics the natural insulation of animal fur which will aid in trapping heat inside the glove as well as a Push-Pull tri-fleece liner that aids in comfort with GORE-TEX style gloves.
Additional features are pull tabs to making getting the gloves on easier, a material on the index finger of the glove that has a visor wipe function to help you clear water off of your visor when riding in the wet, and conductive fingertips at the thumb and index finger. In our testing the conductive fingertips didn’t perform super well with Android or iPhone touch screen though that seems to be pretty typical with most winter gloves.
Overall the Stratos 3 GTX gloves from REV’IT! represent a solid pair of winter touring gloves that will help protect and keep your hands dry and warm in cold winter riding. :: Damir 3-16-24
