And we also understand that not everyone has the luxury of heated grips. That’s why our Hydra 2 H2O gloves exist.
Lined with Thinsulate® G and polar fleece, they’re designed to cope with cold and wet urban days. Our renowned hydratex® membrane (the H2O component of the gloves) is used in a Z-Liner construction with McFit® technology to keep things comfortable and dry during any ride.
The outer shell is then constructed with multiple materials: abrasion-resistant drum dyed goatskin covers the palm while the upper hand is carried out in PWR|shell stretch. For protection, the Hydra 2 H2O gloves are equipped with our heavy rib covered hard-shell knuckle, a Temperfoam® palm slider, Temperfoam® finger and thumb knuckles and an additional layer of PWR|shield at the palm.

Sizing Information
We find REV’IT! gloves to run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands… much like Alpinestars. This glove is not so snug that I’d recommend you buy one size larger than normal, but certainly if you are between sizes, then choosing the larger of the two should work. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help
Our Two Cents
The REVIT Hydra 2 H2O gloves are a new revision of the original version from 2018. These are short cuff waterproof gloves for street wear. They’ll keep you dry in rain and have good protective features.
What’s new with the version 2 of the Hydra H2O? The mechanics are the same as the original, but the styling on the back of the hand is slightly changed and for men, a blue and green versions are added to the basic black. Speaking of gender… this glove is now available in ladies’ sizing also (take the link below).
The Hydra 2’s construction is a mix of materials. The palm side of the glove is traditional goat where the back of the hand is textile materials. The molded knuckle protector is very substantial, and it is well shaped and padded on the underside so they feel good on the hand. The palm gets some light padding in the heel area.
These gloves have both a waterproof liner in between the glove’s outer shell and inner lining. And there is also a layer of insulation too. The waterproof liner employs the newer “McFit” technology which means rather than the liner being a separate layer, it is actually bonded to the outer shell. It makes the gloves less bulk and makes them feel thinner. The gloves feel really comfy inside because they are lined wit a soft fleecy material. Both gloves have a soft “wiper” type material along side the index finger you can use to wipe off your visor. On the tips of the index finger and thumb, they’ve fitted conductive material so you can manipulate your phone with the gloves on.
The cuff is a tight knit cuff made to go UNDER your jacket sleeve. These work great with most city or street jacket, but they don’t work so great with race jacket sleeves that zip down close to your wrist. But other than that type jacket, these should work fine. The knit cuff will also keep out the wind. The gloves have a Velcro strap at the wrist to keep the gloves in place in case of a fall.
This new version 2 holds the price at around $100 which looks like a very reasonable price to me. :: Paul, 02-20-20
