Sizing Information
These gloves are consistent with the major American based brands we carry such as FirstGear, Tour Master, etc, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Just as an FYI, you may have previous experience with European designed brands such as Alpinestars and REV’IT! which run about one half size smaller, size-for-size, than the American brands. It is not a universally true fact, but generally holds for most styles. So if a particular size in either of those brands is roomy on you, then you may be able to go down one full size in this style.
Our Two Cents
The Klim Vanguard GTX Long gloves have been updated for 2022 with a new knuckle design.
What really sets the Klim Vanguard GTX Long gloves apart from other options is that there is no venting and very thin insulation on the gloves so they are good for warm to cool weather riding in dry or wet conditions. With the Gore-Tex lining and Gore-Grip technology, you know you will stay dry and maintain firm grip control even in the wettest conditions.
The palm is goat leather and the index and thumb have reactive materials for touchscreen capability that seems to work well on Android and Apple devices here at the shop. The heel of the palm has an XRD impact protector pad. The knuckle armor has a unique hexagon pattern over the XRD knuckle protector that mirrors the pattern across the palm in the key wear area reinforcement.
The entry on the gauntlet has a hook and loop closure and a large pull loop. The backhand has 60 grams of 3M™ Thinsulate insulation so the long version is more suited for colder weather riding than the short cuff counterpart.
The index finger on the left glove has a visor wiper and the middle, ring, and pinky fingers all have 3M™ Scotchlite™ carbon black reflective material that is fairly dark but really reflects when the light hits it for maximum visibility.
The Klim Vanguard GTX Long gloves are a great option for touring riders looking for a glove diverse enough for most weather conditions but lightweight and streamlined for max dexterity and ease of use.
