Sizing Information

Held gloves are sold in glove sizes rather than the normal “alpha” sizes you are used to in the US. For complete information on selection and fit of Held gloves please go here: Held Glove Sizing

We find Held gloves to be very consistent for fit from one model to the next and this particular glove model is no exception. Choose the size you wear in Held, or use the sizing advice above to choose.

Our Two Cents

The Twin II Gloves gloves offer a unique design that can be a fully insulated glove or a glove with less insulation between your palm and the controls. It has a unique 2 compartment design. It is both warm and waterproof.

The main draw here is the unique two chamber design of the glove. If you take the “View Larger Images” link above you’ll see a couple of good shots of this. There is an inner divider built into the glove and you can choose which “chamber” to put your hand in. If you put your hand into the “Dry” chamber your hand is surrounded by Gore-Tex and the palm of your hand is on the glove’s palm leather with no insulation in between. If you put your hand in the “Warm” chamber, you are still surrounded by Gore-Tex and now you have insulation on the backside AND the front side of your hand. So the advantage here is for colder and/or wet weather, you can choose to have insulation all around just like most dedicated/insulated gloves, but when it is not as cold out and/or if you have heated grips, you can choose to wear the glove with insulation only on the backside of your hand and with no insulation on the palm side. In this position, you’ll have an improved feel for the controls and less insulation to prevent the flow of heat into your hands from heated grips.

The overall feel of this glove is just fantastic. The finish of the leather is a very luxurious feeling, and when you slide them on, the insulation feels like a cloud. Well, maybe that’s a bit much, but anyway, you can definitely tell you are slipping on a premium pair of gloves.

Protection-wise, this glove has a nice package as compared to almost any other insulated glove. There is the built in molded knuckle armor, a slider pad in the heel of the hand covered in Superfabric (promotes sliding rather than twisting when you hit the pavement). The gloves, even though thick, have tips on the fingers so you can operate your phone. You also get a fully adjustable gauntlet and a security strap at the wrist to hold the gloved on your hands so they can’t come off if you crash.

Note: We are pleased to offer Held gloves in the US again beginning late 2020. Held is a manufacturer of a full line of motorcycle apparel that is based in Germany. We’ve sold held gloves on and off for more than a decade. Held gloves are top quality and are made with VERY high quality materials. We find the gloves to offer a consistent fit which brand loyal fans enjoy. Held returns to the US market after exiting in 2019 due to distribution issues. Welcome back Held!
