Held Tonale Gloves

The Tonale gloves by Held are a well equipped winter glove choice. A Gore-Tex liner combined with moderate insulation should keep you warm in the winter months. Basic safety features are also included. The Tonale comes in both men’s and women’s sizes.

If you ride in winter, then you’ll be in the market for an insulated glove. This unit from Held offers waterproofing from GoreTex along with a very plushy feeling layer of insulation. The back of the hand is fabric, and the backs of the fingers and the palm are leather. Using a combination of fabric and leather in this glove cuts down on the bulk and overall weight, so they’ll be a bit easier to store than all-leather winter gloves.

Basic protection features include: a molded knuckle armor piece, a Velcro wrist strap to secure the gloves on the hand, and also a bit of extra padding in the palm area. The large gauntlet can be adjusted both with a zipper and with a large Velcro tab, so you can make these work with just about any jacket sleeve arrangement. A visor wiper is included on the left index finger to help you clear your shield in the rain.

The inside of these gloves is lined with a very soft and luxury feeling fabric which I think you’ll enjoy. One last mention: Near the cuff of the glove is a compartment for the insertion of a “heat pack”. Held isn’t offering those as an accessory in the US, but I’ve seen them for sale at motorcycle events, etc. If you happen to have some, you’ll now have a place to use them! :: Paul, 11-03-20
