Sizing Information
Most Dainese gloves we’ve carried run snug like other European brands, but this particular style seems to run “normally” like US brands. So we suggest that you choose the size you normally wear in men’s gloves.
Hopefully, you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based on the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
The Dainese Thunder Gore-Tex Gloves are a short cuff glove that should appeal to just about any style rider.
These gloves have a GORE-TEX® membrane so they are waterproof and breathable. They also have thermal Dexfil® padding for added warmth. The Palm of the glove is goatskin leather with reinforcements in key wear and impact areas. There is additional padding in the palm and pinky finger as well. The thumb and index finger have touchscreen material on them, and they seem to work OK on Android devices but very poorly on Apple devices here at the shop.
The Techno™ inserts on the knuckles offer good impact protection and the middle and ring fingers also have some additional padding on the back. The cuff closes with a hook and loop strap. If you have large hands you might have a difficult time getting the gloves on the first time as the cuff is somewhat narrow compared to the glove size, but they feel great once you get past the opening and they’ll stretch some over time. The Demon logo on the cuff is reflective, along with a small insert on the outside edge of the knuckle.
These gloves should work for most riding styles for use in cool to cold, dry, or wet weather. They are a nice short cuff glove option in the insulated/waterproof segment and they seem reasonably priced considering the thermal lining and GORE-TEX® membrane. :: Mike, 01/03/2022
