Sizing Information

The fit of Alpinestars gloves are very consistent from one model to the next. And overall, they fit a bit small as compared to other brands we carry such as FirstGear, Tour Master, etc. This style in particular fits very snug due to the lining material inside the glove, it is tough to get on but once you have it on it seems to fit true to size. So while it is smaller, it’s not enough to recommend that you buy a larger size (especially if a snug fit is preferred) but it is noticeable enough to say that if you are sometimes between sizes, then you should probably choose the larger of the two. Hopefully, you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based on the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

The Alpinestars Bogota’ Drystar XF Gloves are a winter glove that is both weatherproof as well as waterproof. These gloves feature Alpinestar’s own DrystarXF membrane which provides superior breathability while being waterproof as well as 80g PrimaLoft silver insulation which provides the warmth retention in cold conditions.

From a comfort standpoint the Alpinestars Bogota’ DrystarXF gloves have a lot to offer with a large accordion like leather stretch panel at the outside of the wrists, stretch panels at the fingers, padding on both the palm and thumb as well as a good sized technical stretch insert on the inside of the palm. Additionally the palm features a reinforced synthetic suede with an ergonomic pattern for optimal feel and flexibility and goat leather in the fingers for an optimal blend of comfort, durability and abrasion resistance.

From a protection standpoint the Alpinestars Bogota’ DrystarXF gloves feature a seamless over-injected knuckle that provides protection and a little bit of style with the red Alpinestars logo on the pinky knuckle. Speaking of the pinky these gloves do features a finger bridge for the pinky to help prevent separation and also the gloves earned a CE Level 1KP certification.

Looking at convenience with the Alpinestars Bogota’ Drystar XF Gloves, they do feature touchscreen compatible materials on both the index finger and the thumb, but like most winter gloves that I have personally tested, these too have much better luck with the index finger than they do with the thumb on my iPhone’s touchscreen. Additional convenience features include the pull tab to aid in putting the gloves on as well as the small flap that helps tuck in the hook and loop enclosure strap on the wrist.

From a looks standpoint the Alpinestars Bogota’ DrystarXF gloves only come in a black color with a small red Alpinestars logo on the pinky knuckle as well as a reflective dark gray Alpinestars logo on the outside of the upper wrist.

Overall the Alpinestars Bogota’ DrystarXF gloves were very comfortable and provided great feel and dexterity but I think that comes at a bit of a cost of not being as warm as other winter gloves that are available out there. :: Damir 3-08-24
